The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical packaging solution designed for precise, fine and hygienic dosing of liquid formulations. Thanks to the durable glass and high-quality mechanical sprayer, it is suitable for packaging cosmetics, homemade blends and products for small-scale and artisan manufacture where cleanliness, a repeatable dose and comfortable application are important. The darker tinted glass also helps protect more sensitive contents from degradation when exposed to light.
Bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options (for example screw caps, droppers, fine mist sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected directly in the product detail. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that the final product is stable and user-friendly throughout its entire use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene rules are followed. Before each refilling we recommend thoroughly cleaning and rinsing both the bottle and the sprayer, then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based, and allowing them to dry completely. This way you minimise the risk of microbiological contamination and extend the lifetime of your final product.
The bottle with mechanical sprayer is ideal for low- to medium-viscosity liquids that need to be applied as a fine spray or mist. Typically, these include facial and body toners, floral waters, hair tonics, perfumed sprays, light oil blends or homemade cleaning and refreshing solutions. Very thick or gel-like formulations may reduce the smoothness of spraying, so it is advisable to test them in advance.
It is advisable to regularly flush the sprayer with clean water and then with a small amount of alcohol, which helps remove residues of oils or active ingredients. The procedure is simple: unscrew the sprayer head, rinse the dip tube and the spraying mechanism with water, then fill the bottle with a little alcohol, attach the sprayer and press several times to flush the internal channels. Finally, allow all parts to dry at room temperature.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging any longer, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition indicated in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be placed, after thorough emptying and rinsing, into a container intended for separate glass collection. The plastic components of the sprayer (head, dip tube, any seals) should be separated and sorted according to local rules for plastic collection, or disposed of with mixed waste if local regulations do not allow separate collection. Before discarding, make sure there are no residues of hazardous substances or concentrated chemicals left in the packaging.
To select suitable packaging we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. You can access it at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars, pumps, etc.). In the advanced filter you can combine several parameters at once – in particular the neck type and size, the overall size of the packaging, colour and material. This allows you to quickly find packaging that will be technically compatible with your closures and at the same time meet the design and purpose of your product.
When filling, it is important to work in the cleanest environment possible, to use disinfected tools and cooled or at least non-hot formulations so as to avoid excessive thermal stress on the packaging and the formation of condensate. After filling, close the bottle carefully with the sprayer and store it in a dry place, at stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. This will support the stability of the final product and maintain the functionality of the sprayer for the entire period of use.
