Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. However, before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, which are intended for hygienic preparation of packaging before filling. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.

We recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and a mild detergent, then thoroughly rinsing with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After drying, the inner glass surface and the dropper must be disinfected with alcohol, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Disinfection should be carried out by briefly rinsing or spraying alcohol into the inside of the bottle and through the dropper, then leaving the packaging to dry freely on a clean surface.

The glass dropper bottle is most suitable for products that are used in small quantities and require precise drop-by-drop dosing. Typically these are facial and eye serums, intensive oil concentrates, active ingredients added to creams or masks, hair serums for the scalp or technical solutions where you need precise application without contact with the fingers. The dropper also helps to maintain a higher hygienic standard during use, since the contents are not taken out by hand or with a spatula.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed, after emptying and basic rinsing, in the container designated for glass. The dropper and any plastic or composite parts of the closure should be separated and sorted according to local waste collection rules (plastic, mixed waste, etc.). Before handing over to sorted collection, always check the instructions given in the product parameters table on the Handymade website and follow the local system of municipal waste separation.
