Before first use, check that the bottle has the same neck type and a clean, undamaged thread. Place the dropper insert and cap onto the neck vertically, without tilting, and gradually tighten the cap until you feel slight resistance – without overtightening the thread. At first use, test the dripping using water or a trial sample of the product to verify even dosing and sealing. In the case of more viscous formulations, the dripping speed may be lower, which is standard for this type of packaging.

The cap with dropper can be reused if it is in good technical condition, provided that you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the cap and dropper insert must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature. Always consider reuse also in terms of the nature of the product (especially for sensitive formulations) and your internal hygiene standards.

It is advisable to first rinse the cap and dropper insert mechanically with lukewarm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent, avoiding aggressive chemicals and coarse brushes that could damage the sealing surfaces or the dropper orifice. Then thoroughly rinse the components with clean water and allow them to drain. Finally, we recommend disinfection using an alcoholic solution (e.g. products available on Handymade.sk) to reduce the risk of microbial contamination. Before reuse, the cap must be completely dry so that it does not affect the consistency of the filled formulation.

For larger quantities, it may be appropriate to contact the local collection point or waste management company and verify the optimal method of handling the packaging. By proper recycling you reduce the amount of waste and support a more sustainable approach to packaging materials.
