The glass bottle with dropper is commonly used for packaging concentrated serums, active substances and essential oils, since glass is a stable and well-tolerated packaging material. When working with highly concentrated or more aggressive components, however, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the behavior of the formulation in contact with the glass, the sealing and the dropper during normal use as well as storage.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle, closure and dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol 99% or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based). Only after complete drying of all parts of the packaging do we recommend refilling, thereby minimizing the risk of microbial contamination as well as influencing the stability of the new formulation by residues of the previous product.

The dropper is designed for controlled dosing drop by drop. After gently tilting the bottle downwards, let the liquid drip freely without vigorous shaking. In this way you achieve a stable drop size and a precise dose of the product. For thicker oils you can gently tap the dropper against the wall of the container or your hand to release individual drops, but avoid strong squeezing or impacts that could affect the uniformity of dosing.

Before reuse, first rinse the bottle mechanically with a suitable cleaning agent or warm water with a mild detergent to remove residues of the original product. Afterwards we recommend disinfection using alcohol, for example IPA 99% or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts (glass container, internal components of the closure and the dropper) dry thoroughly at room temperature on a clean surface. Only after they are completely dry is the packaging ready for new filling.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, after emptying and basic rinsing, is usually placed in the container designated for glass. The closure with dropper (a combination of plastic and possibly another insert) should be sorted according to the type of plastic specified in the parameters, or placed in mixed plastic waste if local recycling rules do not allow more detailed sorting.
