FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle suitable also for thicker oils, or only for thin liquids?

The glass bottle with aluminum closure is suitable for thin and slightly viscous liquids, such as facial and body oils, serums or tinctures. For very thick formulations we recommend choosing an appropriate dosing type (for example a dropper or another applicator) and always testing in advance whether the consistency of the product will allow comfortable dosing. Thanks to the stability of the glass and the sealing closure, the packaging is also suitable for concentrated blends, provided they are compatible with the material used.

Can I reuse this glass bottle for different products?

The glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and influence on the new formulation from residues of the previous product. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99% isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96% denaturovaný rastlinný, and following the manufacturer’s safety instructions. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.

How should I properly clean and prepare the bottle before first use?

Before first filling, we recommend mechanically removing dust from the packaging, then washing it with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with potable water and allowing it to dry. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the interior with alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96% denaturovaný rastlinný. We recommend the same procedure also for repeated use, in order to ensure maximum cleanliness before contact with a new product.

How should I correctly recycle the glass bottle and the aluminum closure if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it after emptying and basic cleaning, in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass bottle is usually placed in the glass container, and the aluminum closure should be collected as metal waste, if your municipality’s sorting system allows it. Before recycling, remove product residues and, if possible, labels as well. Details about the material composition of the packaging can be found in the product parameters, according to which you can adapt the specific sorting method.
