Glass bottle – medicine bottle represents a high-quality packaging suitable for various types of liquid and slightly viscous products where precise, controlled dosing and a professional appearance are required. The smooth surface of the bottle allows convenient labelling and creates a representative packaging for homemade and artisanal products, cosmetics or laboratory solutions.
White opaque glass in combination with a black-gold glossy dispenser with a transparent top ensures an elegant design while at the same time protecting the contents from external environmental influences. The glass is chemically stable, does not react with the contents and is suitable for formulations where preserved quality and sensory properties of the product throughout the entire period of use are important.
This product forms a complete set – glass bottle with dosing system, therefore it is not necessary to purchase an additional closure. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure that the packaging is suitable for the specific type of product even during long-term storage.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the bottle can be safely used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, for example using products available on Handymade – isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the service life of the packaging itself as well as your product.
The glass part should first be mechanically rinsed with warm water and a mild, well-rinsable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsed with clean water and left to dry completely. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inside of the bottle and any surfaces in contact with the product using IPA or ethanol and allowing it to evaporate. For the dispenser, it is appropriate to rinse the internal channels according to the type of product that was inside, and to verify that the dosing mechanism has remained fully functional. The packaging is not intended for aggressive cleaning procedures or boiling, in order to prevent damage to the plastic parts of the dispenser.
On Handymade you have an extended filter at your disposal that helps you choose the right packaging. After clicking on the relevant packaging category, the filter is located at the top of the page. In it you can conveniently filter packaging according to neck type, size, colour and material, thanks to which you will quickly find bottles, jars, medicine bottles or other containers that meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of your product.
The white opaque glass bottle helps reduce light penetration to the contents and thus contributes to better protection of light-sensitive components in cosmetic formulations. For maximum stability we recommend combining a suitable packaging with correct storage – ideally in a dry, cooler and shaded place. For formulations with extremely sensitive active substances, it is advisable to perform your own stability tests and verify whether the chosen packaging and storage conditions provide sufficient protection throughout the entire declared shelf life.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the product parameter table. As a rule, the glass bottle can, after adequate rinsing of product residues, be placed in a container designated for glass. Plastic components of the dispenser (for example the pump, tube or protective cap) are usually sorted among plastics, unless the local collection system stipulates otherwise. Before recycling, we recommend separating the packaging as much as possible into individual material parts according to the data in the product parameters, in order to support efficient recycling.
