The glass bottle – pharmaceutical dropper bottle with a white surface and black cap represents a professional packaging solution suitable for filling sensitive liquid as well as powdery products. High-quality glass provides high chemical resistance and stability, which makes the bottle suitable for formulations containing active ingredients, oils, alcohols or preservatives. The white, opaque surface also helps protect the contents from light, which you will appreciate especially with products prone to degradation when exposed to daylight or artificial lighting.
This type of pharmaceutical bottle is popular in the production of cosmetics, natural preparations and artisanal products, where not only appearance but also functionality and reliable closure are important. The glass material is suitable for more demanding formulations and, in combination with the appropriate closure, offers safe dosing even during long-term storage.
The standalone glass bottle – pharmaceutical bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems, which you can find directly in the offer after selecting the appropriate neck type and dimensions. You can combine it with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for precise and comfortable dosing according to the nature of the product.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for formulations with a higher content of acids, alcohols or essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Glass packaging is generally very stable and suitable for formulations containing essential oils or alcohol because it minimises interaction between the packaging and the product. Nevertheless, we recommend for every new formulation to carry out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product, monitor its behaviour during storage and verify in particular the sealing and dosing of the selected closure.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, but it is recommended to follow several steps. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly mechanically cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with an appropriate agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely and only then refill it, ideally with the same or a similar type of product.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and an appropriate cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing the glass to dry completely. It is then advisable to disinfect the packaging – either by immersion or by rinsing with a disinfectant alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. A bottle prepared in this way is suitable for filling with the final product, and we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle should be placed in the appropriate glass container according to local waste sorting rules. The cap is usually made of a different material than glass (for example plastic or a combination of materials), so separate it from the bottle and sort it according to the recommendations of your municipality and the material information in the product parameter table. In this way you support efficient recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
To choose suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter, you can clearly set parameters such as neck type, size, colour and packaging material. Thanks to this, you can quickly find a bottle, pharmaceutical bottle or jar that will meet the technical requirements of your formulation as well as your visual idea of the final product.
