Glass is generally a very stable and inert packaging material, which in most cases is also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of alcohol and essential oils. However, we always recommend performing your own test with the specific composition – verifying the behavior of the spray pump, the quality of the spray pattern, the sealing and the long-term stability of the product in the packaging.

The packaging can be reused provided that proper hygienic principles are observed. Before first use and before each refilling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured, which you can find in our range: IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol 1 l and Etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný 1 l. After disinfection, let all parts dry thoroughly and only then refill the packaging.

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it responsibly. In most cases, the glass part of the bottle can be placed, after emptying and rinsing, into the container designated for glass. The plastic spray pump (including the tube and mechanism) belongs to plastic waste according to local sorting rules. Before recycling, make sure that the packaging is free of product residues and follow the waste sorting recommendations valid in your municipality, as well as the information given for the parameters of the respective packaging on the website.

The bottle with spray pump is ideal for products that need a fine spray dispersion – for example facial and body mists, hydrolats, toning waters, hair tonics, pillow and room sprays, textile fresheners or light perfumed waters. Thanks to the even spraying, it is also suitable for products where it is important not to over-grease the skin or surfaces and to achieve only gentle moistening.

Before the final implementation of the packaging in production, we recommend performing your own compatibility test. Fill the bottle with a smaller amount of product and observe its behavior over several weeks – pay attention to the stability of color and scent, the functionality of the spray pump, any changes in sealing or leakage of the product around the closure. Test the packaging under conditions that correspond to real use (normal handling, storage, transport). This will give you confidence that the packaging is suitable for your specific formulation.
