The glass bottle with white safety cap represents a reliable and aesthetic packaging suitable for precise filling of various liquid and fluid preparations. The durable glass helps protect formulations from external influences and, in combination with the safety cap, supports safe closure of the contents during storage and transport. The bottle is designed to be practical for craft-scale as well as smaller semi-professional production of cosmetics and other specialized products.
The combination of the packaging and the white safety cap is created on Handymade as a functional set, where both the bottle neck and the cap type are adapted for reliable closure. Combinations of packaging and caps that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for products with unusual pH, alcohol content or a high proportion of essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is generally very well suited for various types of cosmetic preparations, including oil-based blends and solutions containing alcohol. However, before final implementation in production, we recommend carrying out trial filling and both short-term and longer-term stability monitoring in order to verify the behaviour of the specific formulation in contact with the packaging and the cap. Such a test is particularly important in the case of a high proportion of essential oils or an atypical product pH.
The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling it is important to clean the packaging thoroughly, remove any residues of the previous contents and then disinfect it with an appropriate agent. For disinfecting the packaging, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in our range as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the cap to dry completely before refilling them with the prepared product.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend including it in separated collection according to the material. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle should be placed in a container intended for glass. The plastic cap needs to be separated from the bottle and disposed of in a container intended for plastic collection, in accordance with the recycling symbols and recommendations given in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade website. By following these principles, you support effective recycling of packaging materials.
The most reliable procedure is to carry out your own compatibility test before starting sales or larger-scale production. We recommend filling several bottles with the final or test formulation, storing them under conditions similar to the planned storage conditions and monitoring changes in sealing, the appearance of the cap, the scent or the consistency of the product. Pay particular attention to possible leakage, changes in the colour of the plastic parts of the cap or unusual deposits on the bottle neck. Such a test will help you to set safe and stable packaging for your product.
When selecting suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. In the advanced filter you can sort products clearly according to several parameters, in particular according to neck type, size, colour and packaging material. This allows you to quickly narrow down the selection to bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pots that will best suit your specific formulation and intended use.
