The glass bottle with dropper cap represents a professional and visually clean packaging for liquid formulations, which is especially popular in natural cosmetics, aromatherapy and artisan production. The smooth surface of the bottle allows easy labeling with a sticker and looks aesthetic both on a shelf and in gift sets. The integrated dropper ensures precise dosing of drops, which is ideal for concentrated blends, serums, oils and tinctures where controlled application is important.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the product details. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing, stability and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, pH, alcohol content or content of oil components). When changing the type of closure or working with a new formula, it is advisable to fill a smaller trial volume and observe the behaviour of the packaging over time so that you can be sure of reliable and safe use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When designing the final packaging, we recommend also taking into account the method of transport, storage, opening frequency and the intended use of the product, so that you select the most suitable combination for your formulation from the packaging parameters.
Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the dropper to dry completely so that moisture does not accumulate inside.
The dropper bottle is most suitable for products where precise and controlled drop-by-drop dosing is required. These are mainly facial and hair oils, serums with a high concentration of active substances, essential oils, aromatherapeutic blends and concentrated cosmetic solutions. It is also suitable for test or laboratory samples where you need to work with a smaller amount of formulation without unnecessary losses.
First, rinse the bottle and the individual parts of the dropper mechanically with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water to remove residues of the original product. Then rinse thoroughly with clean water. After washing, the packaging must be disinfected – we recommend using alcohol-based preparations such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. After disinfection, let all parts air-dry at room temperature and only then fill them again with the new product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass part of the bottle in glass collection. Plastic or rubber parts of the dropper (e.g. cap, pipette, seals) should be sorted according to their marking and local separate collection rules. Before handing over for collection, remove product residues to minimise contamination of other sorted waste.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category (for example bottles, jars or medicine bottles), you will find the filter at the top of the page. Using it, you can adjust the selection according to key parameters such as neck type, size, colour and packaging material. This allows you to quickly find the combination that will best match the type of your formulation and the desired dosing method.
When filling, it is important to work in the cleanest environment possible and use clean tools (funnel, pipette, measuring cups). Do not overfill the bottle – always leave a small air gap so that the dropper seals properly and works correctly during dosing. Before first use, check that the cap is tightly screwed on and that the dropper dispenses evenly without leaking. For thicker oil blends, we recommend carrying out a short dosing test and, if necessary, adjusting the viscosity or the method of application.
