The glass medicine bottle with black cap represents a professional packaging solution for formulations that require precise and safe dosing. The dark glass helps limit light penetration and protect sensitive active ingredients, making the container suitable for longer-term storage of liquid and drop formulations.
The packaging is intended for filling cosmetic preparations, concentrated solutions, plant extracts or other specialized formulations where emphasis is placed on the stability of the contents and the professional presentation of the finished product.
The glass bottle itself is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the offer. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, rinse it and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol) or denatured plant ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured plant). This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and ensures the stability of the new filling.
Before first use we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle from dust, rinsing it with a suitable cleaning agent and, after drying, disinfecting it with an alcohol solution, for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol. After applying the disinfection it is advisable to let the packaging dry completely so that no residual moisture remains inside that could affect the properties of the filled formulation.
To select suitable packaging you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the chosen packaging category. In the advanced filter the packaging can be sorted according to several parameters such as type and neck size, total size, colour or material. Thanks to this you can easily find the combination of bottle, closure or dosing system that best suits the specific product and method of use.
When filling concentrated or oil-based blends it is important to work in a clean environment and use suitable tools (funnel, pipette, dosing syringe) in order to minimize contamination of the neck and thread. We recommend wiping the bottle thread and the inner side of the closure after filling to ensure ideal sealing and reduce the risk of leakage. At the same time we recommend performing your own compatibility test between the contents and the chosen type of closure or dispenser, especially for formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or active ingredients.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. The glass part of the bottle can usually, after removing any remaining contents and separating the cap, be placed in the appropriate separated collection for glass. The closure should be disposed of according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. Before handing over for collection it is always advisable to rinse the packaging so that no residues of cosmetic or other preparations remain inside.
