Product description

The set of a white plastic pharmaceutical bottle with a volume of 10 ml and a black screw cap is packaging for samples and travel packs. It holds trial doses of serums, face and hair oils, liquid emulsions, diluted fragrance compositions, or small batches when you are fine-tuning a recipe. The bottle and the closure are sold together, so they fit each other and you do not have to deal with choosing a thread. The bottle is made of PET, is lightweight and unbreakable, and the white wall limits the amount of light reaching the contents. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How the set works

The cap is a plain screw closure without a pump. Once tightened, the inner sealing liner seals the neck. The contents are poured or applied directly from the bottle, or taken out with a stick. It therefore suits products that are taken out in one go or decanted. For precise dispensing by the drop, a closure with a dropper is more suitable. The black cap on the white bottle also helps you tell samples and test series apart.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is larger, because it also includes the space up to the neck. This difference serves as a reserve for the closure and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

With oils and emulsions, leave free space above the surface. This way nothing is pushed out through the thread when you tighten the cap, and the contents will not start to push out if the packaging warms up in a bag or in the sun.

Good to know

Preparation before filling – wash the bottle and the cap before first use, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and let them dry completely. Residual water in the packaging shortens the shelf life of anhydrous products.
Reuse – PET can be washed and used again. After longer use, check the sealing liner of the cap for deformation or for absorption of the previous contents.
More demanding contents – for formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, undiluted fragrance compositions or solvents, test how the material behaves on a single sample beforehand. Do not expose the plastic to aggressive chemicals.
Temperature – the packaging is designed for temperatures of 5–30 °C. Therefore, fill it with contents that have cooled down, and store empty bottles in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Recycling – the bottle is made of PET and the cap of polypropylene. Separate them when sorting.

Only the Plastic pharmaceutical bottle, white, 10 ml has a separate certificate for direct food contact. The set as a whole, including the cap, is intended for cosmetics, so we do not recommend it for food.
