Plastic dropper bottle with black cap is a ready-to-use set consisting of a small brown bottle in a dropper bottle shape and a plain screw cap, designed for products that are sensitive to light. The brown-tinted PET reduces light transmission to the contents, which is appreciated for oil serums, facial oils, tinctures and samples whose ingredients lose quality faster when exposed to light. The 30 ml volume is practical for travel packaging, customer samples, test batches and individual doses of products where you do not want to open a large container.

The set is intended for cosmetic products. The packaging can be filled and sealed immediately after unpacking and standard cleaning.

What the set is suitable for

It works best for products that are dispensed by pouring or dropping directly from the bottle and do not require a pump or sprayer:

• facial and body oils in smaller volumes, oil serums and carrier oil blends,
• samples and testers of creams with a more liquid consistency, tonics, lotions,
• tinctures and extracts on an alcohol base at standard alcohol concentration,
• working samples from formula development – you label the batch and date and store for stability monitoring.

For thick creams and butters, reach for a jar instead. Thick products are difficult to dispense from the narrow neck of a dropper bottle.

Nominal and total volume

The figure 30 ml is the nominal volume – the amount the bottle is designed for under standard filling conditions. The total volume up to the rim of the neck is physically larger. The difference between them provides a reserve for the cap, any dropper insert, and for expansion of the contents with temperature change. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the rim: space is left for air, the cap can be tightened without overflow and when heated the contents will not push out the seal.

Good to know

Preparation before first filling. Wash both the bottle and the cap in warm water with a mild cleaning agent, rinse, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave to dry completely with the neck facing down. Residual water would introduce moisture into an anhydrous product.

Reuse. The set can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection, particularly for working samples and personal products. For sale to customers we always recommend new packaging. Check the cap: if it spins when tightened or does not seal, replace it.

PET and product composition. With standard vegetable oils, aqueous and alcoholic products, PET performs reliably. However, do not expose the packaging to aggressive chemicals. Higher concentrations of essential oils, fragrance compositions, limonene or solvents can soften, cloud or deform the plastic over time. For concentrated fragrance blends, first test the bottle with a small amount of the product and monitor it for several weeks.

Heat. PET does not tolerate high temperatures, so do not pour hot phases or freshly prepared extracts into it. Allow the product to cool to room temperature before filling.

Contact with cosmetics and food. The set as a whole is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The bottle individually holds a certificate for direct contact with food, but the cap does not, so do not treat the set as food packaging. The declaration of conformity is available with the product.

Label. The straight part of the bottle body is narrow; take this into account when designing the label.

Recycling. The bottle is made of PET, the cap of polypropylene with a sealing insert. Once emptied and rinsed, both belong in sorted plastic waste collection; unscrew the cap before disposal.
