The glass bottle with spray pump represents a professional solution for packaging liquid preparations where precise and hygienic application by means of a fine mist is important. Thanks to the high-quality glass and the practical spray mechanism, the packaging is suitable for cosmetic formulations, treatment solutions as well as concentrated blends that require even application to the skin or surface. The dark glass also helps to limit light penetration to the contents, which is particularly advantageous for products sensitive to external influences. A bottle designed in this way combines aesthetics, functionality and practicality in everyday use.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for preparations with a higher content of alcohol, essential oils or active substances.

Glass is generally a very stable material and is also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. However, the spray mechanism may have a different service life at high concentrations of certain substances, so we recommend first testing the prepared product in a smaller amount and monitoring the spray performance, sealing, and any changes to the material of the plastic parts of the spray pump.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing off residues of the previous product) and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For disinfection you can use, for example, the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Ensure thorough drying before refilling and, for the spray pump, check that the dip tube and nozzle are not blocked.
We recommend storing the filled bottle in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight. The dark glass naturally helps to protect the contents from light, but for long-term storage it is advisable not to place the packaging near sources of heat. After each use, close the spray pump (for example with a safety lock or cap, if included) and avoid contact of the nozzle with contaminants in order to minimise the risk of product contamination.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle, after being emptied and basically rinsed, is usually placed in the container designated for glass. The spray pump, as a combined plastic component, generally needs to be separated from the bottle and sorted according to local recommendations for plastic waste. Before recycling, remove any product residues so that the packaging is not heavily contaminated and can be processed efficiently.
