Is this glass bottle suitable for thicker or oily formulations?
The glass bottle is suitable for liquid and slightly viscous products including oil serums, facial oils and herbal oil macerates. For very thick formulations we recommend adapting the choice of closure or applicator (for example using a suitable dropper or another dosing type) based on testing of the specific recipe.
Can I use this bottle repeatedly?
Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the cap and then disinfect them with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. How should I properly clean the glass packaging before further use?
First remove the residues of the original product by rinsing with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for washing dishes. Then thoroughly rinse the bottle with clean water so that no detergent residues remain, and let it dry completely. After drying it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the thread, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in the Handymade range, and allow the alcohol to evaporate completely before refilling.
How should I correctly recycle the glass bottle and aluminium cap if I do not want to use it further?
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle can be placed into a collection container intended for glass according to the locally applicable waste sorting rules. We recommend sorting the metal aluminium cap separately into a container intended for metal packaging, if the sorting system in your municipality allows it. Before handing over for recycling it is advisable to remove product residues and any labels to the extent permitted by local recycling recommendations.
