Clear Glass Bottle, Black Aluminium Cap, 30 ml

The 30 ml glass bottle with a black aluminium cap is a ready-made packaging solution for small quantities of cosmetics: facial serums, oil blends for the face and nail cuticles, essential oil concentrates, or samples that you send to customers to try. The clear glass shows the colour and clarity of the contents, so it suits products that should be visible, for example coloured oil serums or comparing shades in samples. The cap fits an 18 mm thread and seals with a foam polyethylene liner.

Glass does not react with common cosmetic ingredients, does not absorb the fragrance of previous contents, and withstands repeated washing. The aluminium cap is lightweight and gives the packaging a uniform dark look that goes well with clear glass. However, clear glass does not filter light. Store light-sensitive contents in the dark, or choose amber or blue glass for them.

What the set is suitable for

• Oil serums and facial oils – the contents are poured straight from the neck into the palm or onto the fingertips.
• Essential oil concentrates in a carrier oil – glass is more suitable for these blends than plastic, which some essential oils can damage.
• Samples and travel sizes – the small volume and sturdy glass make it easier to ship samples of creams with a thinner texture, toners or hydrolates.
• Alcohol-based preparations – tinctures and alcohol extracts for cosmetic use are stable in glass. We recommend checking the tightness of the cap at the specific alcohol concentration.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total brim-full volume listed in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them serves as a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If you fill to the nominal volume, nothing leaks out and the cap seats on a dry neck.

Preparation before filling and reuse

Before the first filling, wash the bottle with warm water and a small amount of detergent, rinse it thoroughly, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely with the neck facing down. It is enough to wipe the cap and disinfect it on the outside and inside; do not soak it for long.

The glass can be reused without limit as long as the neck is not chipped. Reuse the cap only if the foam liner keeps its shape, is not pressed into a dent and seals after tightening. When you change the formulation, it is better to replace the cap, because the liner may retain residues of the previous contents.

Good to know

The cap has no dispensing element, so the contents are poured straight from the neck. If you need to dispense by drops or spray, you will find closures with the same 18/410 neck finish and ready-made combinations in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, check the tightness, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.

Both the bottle and the cap are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declarations of conformity are listed with the individual components. The set is intended for cosmetics and is not approved for contact with food. After use, the glass goes into glass recycling and the aluminium cap with metals; separate the two parts before disposal.
