Glass bottle with dropper represents a practical and professional packaging solution for precise dosing of liquid preparations, especially where control over the amount of product applied is important. Thanks to the combination of a glass pharmaceutical bottle and a dropper with rubber bulb, it is suitable for packaging formulations that require hygienic and repeatedly accurate dosing. The dark glass also helps protect more sensitive components from external influences during normal storage.
The glass bottles in this category are designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular in terms of sealing, dosing, convenience of use and behaviour of the packaging in contact with your specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle and the dropper, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For disinfection you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection, let all parts dry thoroughly on a clean surface and only then fill the bottle.
The glass bottle with dropper can be reused if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly washed, rinsed and then disinfected, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. It is recommended not to use the same packaging for markedly different types of formulations (for example strongly perfumed oils and delicate facial serums), unless you are able to ensure complete removal of residues of the original product.
Always store the filled glass pharmaceutical bottle tightly closed, in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat. Dark glass helps to limit the effect of light, but you will ensure optimal stability by combining suitable packaging with recommended storage conditions according to the nature of your formulation. For sensitive recipes, it is advisable to work with smaller volumes and to use the product within the recommended time.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it, removing any product residues and following the recommendations given in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade.sk website. The glass bottle is usually sorted into the container intended for glass, while the dropper (a combination of plastic, rubber and possibly metal) usually needs to be sorted separately according to the predominant material, or handed over within the municipal waste collection system if local rules do not allow more detailed sorting. Always follow the current local regulations for waste separation.
To choose suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. The filter allows clear sorting of packaging materials according to several parameters, for example according to neck type, size, colour or material. Thanks to this, you can quickly narrow down the selection to those packages that are most suitable for a specific product and the dosing method you need.
For thicker or purely oil-based formulations, we recommend first testing the behaviour of the product in a smaller amount to verify smooth suction and dripping through the dropper. Make sure that the neck of the bottle and the outer part of the dropper remain clean – oil residues can impair sealing and over time contaminate the thread. If you are working with very viscous preparations, consider an appropriate adjustment of the recipe or using another type of closure or applicator from the Handymade.sk range.
