The glass bottle with spray pump represents a professional solution for packaging cosmetic and other liquid preparations where a gentle, even application in the form of a mist is required. Thanks to the glass used and the high-quality mechanical spray pump, it is suitable for formulations that require precise dosing, easy use and reliable protection of the contents from external influences during storage and use.
This type of packaging is practical for various liquid products – from facial and body sprays to cleansing or home fragrance preparations. Glass is a stable and inert material which, when used correctly, contributes to the long-term quality of the stored preparation, minimizes interaction with the contents and enables professional, aesthetic packaging suitable also for finished products intended for sale.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).

Yes, the packaging can be safely reused if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the spray pump, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol preparation (for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based). Only after completely drying is the bottle ready to be refilled.
The glass bottle with spray pump is ideal for liquid formulations with low to medium viscosity that are to be applied in the form of a fine mist. In practice it is most often used for facial and body sprays, hydrolats, water- and alcohol-based aromatic blends, hair sprays, air fresheners or textile sprays. For thicker emulsions it is necessary to test the functionality of the spray pump in advance.
First we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with warm water and a mild cleansing agent, then rinsing it several times with clean water so that no residues of the original product or detergent remain in the container or in the spray pump tube. It is then appropriate to disinfect the internal surfaces with alcohol – it is practical to use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, swirl the bottle and the mechanism and actuate the spray pump several times. After disinfection, leave all parts to dry thoroughly in the air.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend dismantling it into individual parts according to the material types. After rinsing off any product residues, the glass bottle usually belongs in the container designated for glass, while the plastic spray mechanism (including the tube) belongs in sorted plastic waste, or according to the recommendations of your local collection system. Specific recycling markings and recommendations can be found in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website, which you should follow.
