Transparent plastic bottle with ribbed closure is a practical packaging intended for professional as well as home production of liquid and slightly viscous preparations. The clear plastic allows easy visual inspection of the contents, which is appreciated especially by manufacturers of cosmetics, cleaning solutions or concentrated blends. In combination with a high-quality screw closure it provides reliable sealing and reduces the risk of unintended leakage or contamination of the product during storage and transport.
The stand-alone plastic bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems available in the Handymade.sk range according to the selected neck parameters. It can be combined for example with screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators to achieve the most convenient application method for the specific product.
The combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation), especially for products with atypical pH, solvent content or active substances.
All technical parameters of the container are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
If the container is made of PET material, it must be taken into account that PET is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures. When in contact with hot liquids or in case of overheating, deformation of the container may occur, therefore the container is not suitable for dishwasher cleaning or boiling. Gentle manual cleaning at lower temperatures and subsequent disinfection with a suitable preparation is recommended.
The container can, with appropriate handling, be used repeatedly as long as the material remains free from visible damage even after several cycles. Before each new filling it is essential to clean the bottle thoroughly and then disinfect it, ideally using technical alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. For plastic packaging made of PET material, avoid high temperatures – do not boil the container, do not wash it in a dishwasher and do not expose it to prolonged overheating in order to prevent deformation.
The bottle is most commonly used for packaging liquid cosmetic preparations such as facial toners, tonics, hydrolats, hair tonics or light body lotions in combination with a suitable dispenser. In practice it is also used for storing work solutions, concentrates and various auxiliary liquids in cosmetics or artisan production. It is always important to verify the compatibility of the packaging material with the specific formulation by your own test.
Before the final implementation of the container, we recommend filling one bottle with your product and monitoring it for several days to weeks. Observe any changes in the colour of the plastic, surface tension, possible softening of the walls, deformations, leakage of the closure or changes in dosing. Perform the test under conditions similar to the real storage conditions (temperature, light, handling). If the container is stable and leak-tight, you can safely introduce it into production.
If you decide not to use the container further, we recommend emptying it and rinsing it as thoroughly as possible to remove product residues and then placing it in sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. Plastic bottles usually belong in the yellow container for plastics; the closure can be recycled together with them unless stated otherwise in local rules. When recycling, follow local guidelines and the information on material composition in the parameter table on the product page.

For PET containers it is recommended to avoid high temperatures as well as long-term exposure to direct sunlight. Do not wash the bottle in a dishwasher and do not boil it, in order to prevent deformation or damage to the material. For routine maintenance, gentle manual washing with lukewarm water and a suitable detergent, thorough rinsing and subsequent disinfection using an alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable, is sufficient. A container prepared in this way can be safely refilled.
