Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in the Handymade range. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging and closure are completely dry is it suitable to refill the bottle with a new product.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the plastic bottle before further use?

First rinse the bottle and flip-top closure with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original product. Then thoroughly rinse the packaging with clean water, allow it to drain and dry. Next, apply disinfection – for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, which are suitable for treating the surface of packaging. After disinfection, let the bottle dry completely at room temperature so that the remnants of alcohol evaporate, and only then refill it.

How can I properly recycle this bottle if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, including it in sorted waste collection according to the recycling designation given in the product parameters. Sort the plastic container and closure into the appropriate container for plastic packaging according to local waste management rules. Before handing it over, it is advisable to remove as much product residue and labels as possible so that the packaging is as well prepared as possible for the recycling process.

For which type of products is a flip-top closure most suitable?

A flip-top closure is ideal for liquid and slightly viscous products that are dispensed in small to medium quantities. It is practical for shower gels, shampoos, body emulsions, liquid soaps or cleansing gels for the face, where quick one-handed opening and good sealing between individual uses is an advantage. Thanks to the cap design, dispensing is controlled and at the same time hygienic, which you will appreciate in the bathroom as well as when using it while travelling.
