The square glass roll-on bottle is a professional packaging intended for precise, hygienic and economical dispensing of liquid preparations using a roll-on ball. Thanks to the rigid glass container, it is suitable for formulations that require a stable, chemically resistant and aesthetically clean packaging – from natural cosmetics to specialized blends. The roll-on system ensures controlled application directly onto the skin without the need for the fingers to come into contact with the contents, which helps minimize contamination and increases user comfort.
This glass bottle is designed for use with a roll-on system and is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems available in the Handymade range according to the selected parameters – for example with screw closures, roll-on inserts or other practical applicators. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing method and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure of long-term reliability in real use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying the bottle. After filling, leave sufficient space below the neck to prevent overpressure when inserting the roll-on insert. Insert the roll-on straight and gently, gradually pressing it in so that it sits firmly around the entire circumference. Then check its functionality by turning the ball and performing a test application. For more viscous formulations it is advisable to test the dispensing and, if necessary, adjust the viscosity of the formula.
The glass bottle can be safely reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be disassembled, thoroughly washed, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature. Only then fill the bottle again, in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle, after removal of product residues and possible rinsing, belongs in the glass container according to local collection rules. Plastic or metal components (for example the roll-on insert, sealing element or closure) should be separated and sorted into the relevant collection bins according to the material marking. By following these principles, you support effective recycling and a reduction in the amount of waste.
This type of bottle is ideal for products that are applied locally and in small quantities – perfume oils, roll-on perfumes, aromatherapy blends, deodorants, facial serums, intensive treatments for the eye area, treatment preparations for skin imperfections or nail oils. Thanks to the roll-on mechanism, it is also suitable for products where hygienic dispensing without contact of the fingers with the contents is important.
When selecting suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the extended filter you can clearly sort the packaging according to several parameters – for example according to neck type, size, colour or material. This allows you to quickly narrow down the selection only to packaging that meets the required technical and design criteria for your specific product.
We recommend verifying compatibility by testing on samples. Fill a smaller amount of product into the bottle, close it with the selected roll-on insert and closure and observe the behaviour of the packaging during normal use and during storage (sealing, dispensing, changes in scent, colour or viscosity). For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils or active substances, it is advisable to test the packaging over a longer period, so that you can be sure that the material and the dispensing mechanism remain stable and fully functional.
