Glass bottle – medicine bottle with shiny silver dropper represents an elegant and functional packaging solution for both professional and home formulations. Thanks to the high-quality glass and precise dropper, it is suitable for accurate dosing of liquid products that require hygienic, aesthetic and repeatedly precise use. The closed dropper system helps protect the contents from external influences and limits contact with air or impurities, which you will appreciate with sensitive cosmetic and specialized blends.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination or residues of the original product. For disinfection, we recommend using suitable alcohol-based preparations, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of technical purity. On Handymade you will find, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After cleaning and disinfection, let all parts dry completely and only then fill them again.
The dropper should be disassembled into its individual parts, if its construction allows (pipette, rubber or plastic part, possibly decorative cover), and first thoroughly rinsed in warm water with a mild cleaning agent. For oil-based formulations, rinsing with technical alcohol, which removes greasy residues, can help. Subsequently, it is advisable to disinfect the components with an alcoholic solution (for example with preparations available on Handymade) and let them dry naturally at room temperature. When cleaning, avoid aggressive chemicals and mechanical damage that could affect sealing or dosing accuracy.
The glass bottle with dropper is a universal packaging, but when choosing we always recommend taking into account the nature of the specific product. For most oil serums, facial elixirs, light emulsions and aromatherapeutic blends, this type of packaging is usually very suitable. However, for formulations with a high content of strong solvents, acids or other reactive components, it is always necessary to carry out your own compatibility test – to verify the behaviour of the product in contact with the dropper, the sealing and the inner surface of the closure over time. If necessary, you can also look for alternative packaging in the Handymade range, for example other types of caps, pumps or sprayers.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be handed over to glass collection after removal of product residues and rinsing. The dropper consists of several materials (glass, plastic, possibly rubber and a metal or plastic cover), so it is advisable to disassemble it where possible and recycle or dispose of the individual parts in accordance with local waste management rules. When handling used packaging, always take into account the original contents (e.g. fragrance oils, active substances) and follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the specific product.
For quick orientation in the wide range of packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pumps). In the advanced filter, you can select packaging according to several parameters at once – especially according to neck type, size, colour and material. In this way, you can easily display only such packaging that is suitable for your specific product and the chosen dosing method. For each packaging, you will also find a detailed description and parameters that will help you in your final decision.
