FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, however we recommend always adapting it to the type of formulation being filled. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured, in accordance with the recommendations for your specific formula.

How should the glass bottle and dropper be properly cleaned before reuse?

Before refilling, we recommend first mechanical cleaning (rinsing with a suitable cleaning solution or detergent and thoroughly rinsing with water), then allowing the bottle to dry completely. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner space and the dropper using alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the packaging ready for new filling.

For which types of products is this bottle with dropper most suitable?

The bottle with dropper is ideal for products that require drop-by-drop or small-quantity dosing, such as facial serums, concentrated oils, essential oils, aromatherapy blends, intensive hair treatments or cosmetic active solutions. Thanks to the dark glass, it is particularly suitable for formulations with light-sensitive components where protection from light is important.

How should the glass bottle be properly disposed of and recycled if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to recycle it according to local waste-sorting rules. After emptying, place the glass bottle in the container designated for glass (usually the container for coloured glass). The closure and dropper must be separated – depending on the material, they usually belong in the container for plastic or in mixed waste if the local sorting system does not allow otherwise. Before placing it in sorted waste, we recommend at least briefly rinsing the packaging to remove product residues.
