Glass packaging is generally very suitable for products with a higher proportion of active ingredients, natural extracts or vegetable oils, because glass shows high chemical resistance and stability. The green glass also helps protect more sensitive components from light. For formulations with particularly reactive or atypical components, however, we always recommend performing your own stability test in the target packaging to verify the behaviour of the formulation over time.

Can this bottle with dispenser be reused even after the contents have been used up?

The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, however, it is necessary to carefully clean and disinfect the packaging, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol of vegetable origin. We also recommend checking the mechanical functionality of the dispenser – if it is worn or visibly damaged, choose new packaging or a new top part so that dosing remains precise and hygienic.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect the glass bottle before re-use?

First thoroughly remove residues of the original product by rinsing with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent. After mechanical cleaning, allow the bottle to drain well and dry. Then disinfect the inner surface and the areas that come into contact with the product with alcohol – for example using the product IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to dry freely so that the alcohol evaporates completely, and only then proceed to new filling.

How should I correctly recycle this glass bottle if I do not wish to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information provided in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in a container intended for glass, while plastic or combined top parts (dispenser, pump, possible seals) should be separated and sorted according to the type of material, where possible. Before recycling, always remove any product residues from the packaging by rinsing, so that sorted waste is not contaminated and the packaging is prepared for efficient processing in the recycling process.
