Product description
Sodium Gluconate is a natural multifunctional cosmetic raw material with strong chelating and stabilizing properties, produced by fermentation of glucose (usually from corn or other plant sources) using microorganisms. After fermentation, gluconic acid is formed, which is then neutralized with a sodium salt, resulting in sodium gluconate. In cosmetics it is used mainly as a mild chelating agent that binds metal ions present in water and raw materials, thereby increasing the stability of formulations, protecting active ingredients against oxidation and improving the performance of surfactants. Compared to other chelating agents, it is known for its excellent skin tolerance and suitability for sensitive, baby and natural cosmetics.
