Triethyl Citrate is an ester of citric acid and is accepted as a natural ingredient in cosmetics. Triethyl Citrate is a polar oil and can be used to disperse powders.

Its main application is as an active material for natural deodorants, preservatives and antioxidants. It is a lipophilic material, so it should be added to the oil phase.
