The glass pharmaceutical bottle with spray pump is a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid cosmetic preparations and auxiliary solutions for artisan and small-scale production. High-quality glass in combination with a functional spray pump ensures precise and even dosing, making the bottle suitable for products that require gentle application in the form of a mist or spray.
This packaging is ideal for formulations where content stability, protection against external influences and convenient dosing without contact with the hands are important. The glass bottle is suitable for a wide range of liquid preparations from toning and cleansing waters to auxiliary solutions used in the production of cosmetics and household products.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verifying the sealing, the dosing method and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, presence of oils or active substances).

The glass pharmaceutical bottle is generally very suitable for aqueous solutions, hydrolats and formulations containing alcohol in the usual concentrations used in cosmetics and household sprays. In view of the different compositions, we recommend always preparing a small test batch, which you leave in the packaging for several days to weeks, and monitoring any changes in colour, scent or consistency, as well as the functionality of the spray pump.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each filling, we recommend thoroughly washing the bottle and the spray pump with warm water and detergent, rinsing well and then disinfecting with a suitable alcoholic solution. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, let all parts dry completely to remove any remaining moisture before refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material stated in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be handed over to glass collection after emptying and rinsing, while the plastic spray pump belongs in sorted plastic waste according to local rules. Before disposing of it in sorted waste, we recommend separating the glass bottle from the plastic components to make sorting more efficient. Always check the specific recycling symbol and material in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website.
Spray pumps are primarily designed for low-viscosity preparations based on water or alcohol. Thicker emulsions, oils or gel formulations can reduce the quality of spraying or may partially clog the mechanism. Therefore, for oily or emulsion products we recommend performing a practical test – fill a smaller amount of the product, spray repeatedly and observe whether the mist formation is uniform and whether the spray pump is not clogging or sticking.
