White Glass Bottle, Glossy Silver White Pump, 100 ml

A white glass medicine bottle with a white and silver glossy pump is a ready-made set for filling with serums, facial oils, liquid creams and body lotions. The opaque white glass protects the contents from light, which is useful for oil blends and formulations with light-sensitive ingredients. The pump dispenses the product without opening the bottle, so the contents come into contact with air and fingers only minimally.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the declaration of conformity is provided with the product. The set is not intended for food.

What the set is suitable for

• Serums and facial oils – the opaque packaging helps keep light-sensitive ingredients stable, and the pump always dispenses the same amount.
• Liquid creams, lotions and emulsions – light and medium-thick emulsions pass through the pump without problems. With thicker creams, test the flow beforehand.
• Liquid soaps and cleansing gels – the bottle stands on the sink or a bathroom shelf and can be operated with one hand.
• Samples and smaller batches – the volume corresponds to the usual size of a facial serum or a small pack of body oil.

Dispensing and filling

The pump has a tube that reaches the bottom of the bottle. One press dispenses approximately 0.14 ml of product. This amount suits serums, oils and light emulsions that are applied in small doses. With body lotion, you simply press several times.

If the tube bends inside the bottle, it can be shortened. It should reach just above the bottom so that it draws as much of the contents as possible.

The bottle is filled up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and the body of the pump and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle is filled to the neck, part of the contents will overflow when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

Before first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Follow the same procedure when reusing it. Rinse the pump several times by pressing it in clean water and finally in alcohol, so that no residues of the previous product remain in the tube.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Let a hot emulsion cool to at least lukewarm before filling, otherwise the glass may crack. A warm mixture also creates excess pressure in the bottle, which would push the contents out after the pump is screwed on.

The pump is made of polypropylene with aluminium and plastic parts. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol or other solvents, check how the plastic parts behave in contact with your specific recipe. The pump outlet is open, so with oils and thicker emulsions a dried residue may form at the opening over time. Simply wipe it off.

Glass belongs in glass recycling, while the pump is made of several materials and is sorted according to the predominant plastic.
