FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass dropper bottle suitable for a thicker serum, or only for thin liquids?

The bottle with dispenser is suitable mainly for liquids with low to medium viscosity, such as light serums, fluids and emulsions. For thicker formulations we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing whether the selected dispenser type provides smooth and comfortable dosing without clogging. If necessary, you can choose a different type of closure or applicator for the same bottle, available in the Handymade range.

Can the packaging be reused for further batches of my products?

The glass bottle and the dispenser can be reused provided that proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each subsequent filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol, for example with 99% isopropyl alcohol or with 96% denatured plant-based ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the next batch of the product. When reusing, always check the condition of the dispenser and the seals as well.

How should I properly clean and prepare this bottle before the first filling?

Before the first filling we recommend visually inspecting the bottle, removing any dust residues or mechanical impurities and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol (for example using preparations available on Handymade). It is also advisable to disinfect the dispenser, making sure that any excess liquid is allowed to evaporate before filling. In this way you will ensure the cleanest possible environment for your cosmetic product already at the first use of the packaging.

How can I recycle this glass dropper bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and sorting the individual parts according to the material indicated in the product parameters. The glass bottle can generally be placed in the glass container, while the plastic or composite dispenser belongs in waste according to the type of plastic, or in mixed waste if it is not possible to separate it into individual components. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the packaging markings in the product parameters on the Handymade website.
