White Plastic Bottle, Glossy Silver White Pump, 50 ml

The white plastic pharmaceutical bottle with pump, 50 ml, is designed for cosmetics that are dispensed in small amounts and without fingers touching the contents. One press releases approximately 0.14 ml, which corresponds to one application of facial serum, fluid or light emulsion. The white plastic limits the amount of light reaching the contents, so it is also suitable for formulations with light-sensitive active ingredients.

This pharmaceutical bottle is made of PET, is lightweight and will not break if dropped. The pump combines white plastic with a glossy silver aluminium part and comes with a dip tube. The complete set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Only the bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food, so the complete set with the pump is intended for cosmetics.

Suitable for products such as

• Facial serums and fluids – a small dose per press corresponds to the usual amount for the face, and the contents are better protected from light and air than in an open jar.
• Light emulsions and face lotions – the pump handles liquid to medium-thick textures. With thicker creams, dispensing slows down or fails.
• Oil serums and vegetable oil blends – with a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking how the PET bottle behaves with your specific formulation.
• Travel packs – liquid soap, shower gel or conditioner for a few days.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The physical volume up to the neck is larger. The difference provides a reserve for the pump tube, for the air above the surface and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Therefore, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If the bottle is overfilled, the contents overflow through the neck when the pump is screwed on, and the pump may not seal.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash both the bottle and the pump, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Rinse the pump by pressing it several times in clean water to flush any residues out of the tube.

The pump fits the thread of the bottle. You can find other closures with the same type of neck and ready-made combinations in the Handymade range. If you combine parts yourself, we recommend checking the tightness and dispensing with your specific formulation.

After thorough washing and disinfection, the bottle can be reused. After longer use with oily or thickened products, the pump is harder to clean, so with a new formulation it is safer to use a new one. The PET bottle belongs in the plastic recycling bin. The pump combines plastic with aluminium, so unscrew it before disposal and dispose of it separately.
