The green glass bottle with white dispenser represents a professional packaging solution suitable for liquid cosmetic preparations as well as artisan formulations where precise and hygienic application is important. The green glass also helps to limit light penetration, thereby contributing to better stability of sensitive components, while the dispenser enables comfortable and controlled dispensing without unnecessary contact of the contents with air.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed, especially for artisan and small-scale production series. However, before each new filling, it is essential to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dispenser and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation (for example, products available on Handymade under the codes ALK001 and ALK002 – IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe lifetime of your formulations.
Before reuse, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, then with clean water, and allowing it to dry completely. After this stage, the packaging needs to be disinfected – for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. For the dispenser, we recommend rinsing with a small amount of disinfecting alcohol so that it passes through the entire dispensing mechanism. After disinfection, it is advisable to let the components dry freely at room temperature and protect them from dust.
The green glass bottle is also suitable for products with a higher proportion of natural oils, extracts or active substances, because glass is a chemically stable material and the green colouration helps to reduce the negative effect of light. However, for very sensitive formulations we recommend carrying out your own stability test to verify the behaviour of the formula over a longer period of time, as well as compatibility with the dispenser (movement of the mechanism, dose per actuation, possible clogging at higher viscosity).
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to place it in sorted waste according to the material composition given in the product parameters on Handymade. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the glass container after basic cleaning of product residues. The dispenser consists of a combination of plastic components and should be sorted according to the instructions of your local waste management infrastructure, typically into plastic waste. Before disposal, we recommend emptying the packaging as much as possible to minimise residual cosmetic content in the waste.
To choose suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter available at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging material category. In the filter you can conveniently combine several parameters at once – for example the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, the material colour and the material used (glass, plastic, etc.). In this way, you can quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that is most suitable for your specific product and the chosen method of dispensing.
Yes, this type of packaging is often used for smaller batches, trial packaging and travel versions of cosmetic products. It offers a representative appearance and practical dispensing, while the smaller volume is suitable for testing new formulas or for packaging products intended for travel. When travelling, we recommend keeping the bottle in an upright position for safety and, if possible, transporting it in a resealable protective bag or case.
