The glass bottle with a silver matte dropper represents a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations. Closing with a dropper enables controlled, drop-by-drop application, which you will appreciate for concentrated formulations and valuable raw materials. The darker glass naturally helps minimize light penetration, thereby contributing, with proper storage, to protecting the more sensitive contents from degradation. This type of dropper bottle is ideal for manufacturers, small artisan makers and home formulators who are looking for aesthetic, functional and reusable packaging.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomizers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the packaging category. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) before starting production or filling a larger quantity of product.

Yes, you can use the glass dropper bottle repeatedly, provided that proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In the offer you will find the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are intended for disinfecting the surface of packaging before filling.
The dropper and closure should first be mechanically freed of residues of the original product by rinsing in warm water with a mild cleaning agent. We then recommend thoroughly rinsing the individual parts with clean water, allowing them to dry, and only then surface-disinfecting them with alcohol (for example using an atomizer or by briefly immersing them). After disinfection, let the components dry completely so that the product is not diluted by alcohol residues during filling.
To choose the right bottle, jar or other packaging, you can use the extended filter in the packaging material categories. This filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category and allows sorting according to several parameters – for example according to neck type, packaging size, colour or material. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the offer to only those packages that meet the technical and design requirements of your formulation.
Glass bottles with a dropper are often used specifically for packaging more sensitive oils and active concentrates intended for cosmetic use. The darker glass helps limit exposure to light and the dropper allows dosing of smaller amounts without frequent opening of the package, thereby reducing the product’s contact with air. However, for very sensitive formulations we always recommend performing your own stability test and verifying the suitability of the packaging for the specific composition.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend first removing any product residues and, where possible, separating the individual parts. The glass container is usually sorted into the container designated for glass, while the closure with dropper, depending on the material combination used, belongs in the appropriate sorted waste stream according to local rules. Always adapt specific recycling recommendations to the information given in the product parameters and to the guidelines of your collection system.
