Amber Glass Bottle, Slim, White Dropper, 50 ml

The glass medicine bottle with dropper is intended for liquid cosmetic products that are dispensed by the drop: face serums, oil blends, beard and hair oils, diluted essential oils or active ingredients in drop form. Amber glass filters light and helps protect ingredients that are sensitive to oxidation and ultraviolet radiation, for example vegetable oils with a higher proportion of unsaturated fatty acids or vitamin concentrates. The nominal volume of 50 ml corresponds to the common size of a serum or face oil.

The set consists of a tall medicine bottle with a threaded neck and a white dropper with a tamper-evident ring. Both parts are matched so that they can be filled and closed straight away, without having to select a closure separately. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

It is most often filled with anhydrous products: oil serums, face and body oils, blends of carrier oils with essential oils, and oils for cuticles, beards or hair ends. It also works for water-based serums and toners in drop form.

It is less suitable for thick creams and gels, which the dropper cannot draw up, and for products with solid particles that would clog the narrow end of the glass tube.

What to know when filling

Before the first filling we recommend washing the medicine bottle and the dropper, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. Residual water does not belong in an oil-based product, so it is worth taking care to dry both the inside of the medicine bottle and the glass tube of the dropper.

Nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. Total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them forms a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which is immersed in the contents when screwed in and pushes the level upwards, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will overflow when closing.

The glass tube of the dropper is fragile. Do not use force when fitting it and make sure the end of the tube does not hit the bottom. The silicone bulb withstands repeated squeezing, but with prolonged use check from time to time that it has kept its elasticity.

Glass can be reused if you clean it thoroughly between fillings. The dropper is harder to clean, especially the silicone bulb, which oil can get into.
