Thanks to the reliable dropper and durable glass, it is suitable for filling formulations where control of the amount, cleanliness and stability of the composition are important. It represents a practical solution for cosmetic as well as workshop projects where safe storage and comfortable application are required.
Glass as a packaging material is popular for its chemical stability, resistance and easy maintenance. In combination with a dropper, it enables convenient dosing even for more viscous oils or more concentrated solutions, so you can apply the contents drop by drop without unnecessary product waste.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles in this category are standalone packaging, which are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. The simplest solution is to use the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, medicine bottles or jars), you will find the filter in the upper part of the page. There you can clearly choose the required parameters such as type of neck, size, colour and material. This way you will quickly select packaging that will correspond to your formulation and to the intended method of dosing.
Yes, the glass bottle – medicine bottle is, when the correct hygiene principles are observed, suitable for repeated use. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and of influencing the stability of your new formulation. In the case of repeated use, always also check the condition of the dropper and the sealing.
After emptying the bottle, we recommend first rinsing the packaging with a suitable solvent (for example oil for oil blends or water with a mild cleaning agent for aqueous solutions). Then clean the packaging mechanically, rinse it thoroughly with clean water and let it dry. Before new filling, it is necessary to disinfect the inner surface using alcohol – for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. The dropper and the rubber part should be cleaned gently so that no mechanical damage occurs, and they should also be disinfected after cleaning.
The dropper is ideal for dosing liquid and slightly viscous preparations, where you need control over the number of drops. In practice, it is used mainly for facial serums, facial and body oils, treatment blends for nails or beard, concentrated aromatic compositions or for active solutions that are added to a larger volume of product. For very thick or gel formulations, dosing may be less smooth, so it is advisable to make a trial filling and verify the comfort of application.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to recycle it according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass container can generally be placed in separated glass collection after emptying and basic rinsing. The dropper (plastic, possibly metal and rubber parts) must be separated and sorted according to local waste collection rules, or disposed of in mixed waste if your collection system does not separately recycle the given type of material. Before recycling, remove product residues so that the container is not heavily contaminated.
