Amber Glass Bottle, White Smooth Matte Dropper, 30 ml

The amber glass medicine bottle, 30 ml, with a white matte dropper dispenses liquid cosmetic products drop by drop and protects them from light at the same time. Amber glass reduces light transmission, so the set is suitable for facial serums, oil blends with essential oils, tinctures and concentrated active ingredients that lose effectiveness or change colour in light.

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a white matte smooth PP cap with an 18/410 neck finish. The length of the tube is matched to this bottle. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the bottle has a certificate for direct food contact; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What it is suitable for

• Facial serums – both water-based and oil-based, where a few drops are dispensed and an accurate dose matters.
• Oil blends with essential oils – facial, hair or massage oils in a smaller volume, protected from light.
• Tinctures and alcoholic extracts – the dropper measures out a small amount without spilling.
• Samples and test batches – 30 ml is enough to verify a formulation before making a larger quantity.
• Products for cuticles, eyebrows or eyelashes – anywhere only a few drops are applied.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume, that is the physical volume up to the neck, is larger and you can find it in the parameters. The difference between the two values is a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which pushes part of the contents upwards once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

After filling, screw on the dropper without squeezing the bulb. To dispense, squeeze the bulb with the tube immersed in the liquid, release it, and then dispense the contents drop by drop. The size of the drop depends on the viscosity of the product; with thicker oils the drop will be larger and slower.

Preparation and use

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Rinse the glass tube separately so that no water remains in it, which would dilute an anhydrous product or introduce microorganisms into a water-based serum.

Glass withstands cleaning with hot water, but it should not be exposed to a sudden change in temperature, for example by filling a hot mixture into a cold bottle. The silicone bulb and the plastic cap are cleaned with lukewarm water and disinfected with alcohol, not by boiling.

Good to know

The bottle can be used repeatedly, and so can the dropper after thorough cleaning. When you change the contents, however, it is better to use a new dropper, as the silicone may retain the scent of the previous product. The glass bottle belongs in glass waste. The dropper is made of several materials; before recycling, separate the glass tube from the plastic cap and the silicone bulb.
