Amber Glass Bottle, Silver White Spray, 30 ml

Glass pharmaceutical bottle, white and silver fine mist sprayer, 30 ml is a ready-made set for small volumes of liquid cosmetic products that are applied by spraying. The amber glass dampens light, so contents with plant extracts, hydrolates or fragrance ingredients stay better protected from its effects. The glossy white and silver sprayer screws onto the neck of the bottle and dispenses the contents in tiny droplets.

The 30 ml volume corresponds to a travel size, a customer sample or a trial batch of a new product. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

Suitable uses

• Facial toners and hydrolates – thin water-based products are sprayed evenly and without dripping, while the amber glass protects the plant ingredients from light.
• Refreshing and setting face sprays – the small volume fits into a handbag, and one press dispenses approximately 0.14 ml, which is enough to lightly mist the skin.
• Perfume and body mists – glass does not react with alcohol or fragrance ingredients, and the sprayer disperses them into a fine mist.
• Hair and scalp sprays – light liquid products based on water or hydrolates, for example with extracts or solubilised essential oils.
• Samples and test batches – when developing a formulation, a smaller quantity is easier to test, and a 30 ml sample is also easy to carry and send.

The sprayer is designed for liquids with a viscosity close to that of water. Thick oils, emulsions and gels either do not pass through the nozzle or clog it. For such products, a pharmaceutical bottle with a dropper or a pump is more suitable.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for in normal filling, and for this pharmaceutical bottle it is 30 ml. The total brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck, and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between the two leaves room for the sprayer tube, which takes up part of the space once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle up to the nominal volume. If it is filled to the brim, the liquid overflows when the sprayer is screwed on and part of the contents is wasted.

Good to know

The sprayer tube should reach all the way to the bottom of the bottle. After screwing it on, check that it really touches the bottom, as this is the only way to use up almost all of the contents. Before first use, press the sprayer several times to prime it until the tube fills.

The sprayer is made of polypropylene and aluminium. Polypropylene tolerates water-based and alcohol-based products without problems. With a higher proportion of essential oils or other solvents, we recommend checking how the mechanism behaves in the finished formulation, especially its tightness and the consistency of the dose after several weeks. Glass is resistant to common cosmetic ingredients.

For repeated use, wash the bottle thoroughly, rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray it through several times to remove residues of the previous product from the tube and the nozzle. Dried fragrance ingredients or extracts would otherwise change the scent and appearance of the new filling. Do not fill the glass with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes, as it may crack.

The pharmaceutical bottle has a neck with the thread type stated in the parameters. After use, the glass and the sprayer are sorted separately. The glass belongs in glass waste, and the sprayer made of plastic and aluminium is handed in as plastic waste according to the rules where you live.
