Product description

Glass bottle, dropper bottle, white-gold dropper, 30 ml is a ready-to-fill set for serums, facial oils and other liquid preparations dispensed by drops. Amber glass protects the contents from light, making it particularly suitable for UV-sensitive ingredients – vitamin C, retinol, blends with essential oils or tinctures. The dropper is sized for this bottle, so there is no need to search for a matching cap or check whether it reaches the bottom.

The set is intended for cosmetics. The glass bottle alone holds a food-contact certification; the set as a whole is not intended for food use.

What the set is suitable for

  • Facial serums – water-based and oil-based, where a few drops are dispensed per application and the dark glass slows the degradation of active ingredients.
  • Facial and hair oils – glass does not react with vegetable or essential oils, and the small volume is used up before the oil has a chance to oxidise.
  • Concentrates and tinctures – alcohol-based extracts and concentrated preparations where precise drop-by-drop dosing matters.
  • Samples and test batches – the small volume is practical for trying out a new formulation or for gift and travel packaging.

How the dropper dispenses and seals

The dropper consists of a glass tube in contact with the contents, a silicone bulb for suction, and a threaded aluminium collar that screws onto the bottle neck. The white-gold finish looks clean and pairs with both light and dark labels. The bottle and the dropper share the same neck type, stated in the specifications, so they fit together without trial and error.

To dispense, squeeze the bulb, submerge the tube and release. With thicker oils the tube fills slowly; with water-based serums it fills quickly and the drops are smaller. A tightened collar ensures the seal. Tighten the dropper after every use – otherwise the contents may leak when the bottle is tipped and the bulb wears out unnecessarily.

When filling from a larger container, use a funnel or syringe – the bottle neck is narrow and without them the contents easily spill onto the thread, where they stick and make it harder to tighten the dropper.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is designed for standard filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference between them is a reserve – for the dropper tube, which when inserted pushes part of the contents upward, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

If you fill the bottle to the neck, inserting the dropper will cause the contents to overflow through the thread and the set will not seal. Leave room for the tube.

What to know before filling

Before first use, wash and sanitise both the bottle and the dropper with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual moisture inside can contaminate an anhydrous oil or disrupt the preservation of a water-based serum.

With repeated use, the silicone bulb is the first component to wear out – prolonged contact with essential oils or alcohol can cause it to soften or discolour. Store the bottle upright so that the contents do not remain in the bulb, and inspect the bulb each time you change the filling. The dropper should not touch the skin, as this introduces microorganisms into the serum. For water-based preparations, preservation is necessary regardless of the packaging.

Glass can be washed and disinfected repeatedly, but do not expose it to sudden temperature changes – pouring a hot phase into a cold bottle may crack the glass.

The bottle is made of glass and belongs in glass recycling. The dropper is a combination of glass, silicone, aluminium and plastic; separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Is the amber dropper bottle suitable for a vitamin C serum?
Yes, amber glass is among the suitable packaging options for vitamin C serums. Dark glass limits light exposure, which accelerates the oxidation of vitamin C, and glass does not react with the contents. The stability of the serum is determined primarily by the formulation itself, the pH and the preservation; the packaging protects it but does not replace it. Tighten the dropper after each use to minimise the amount of air entering the bottle.
Can I fill this dropper bottle with essential oils?
Yes, both the glass bottle and the glass tube of the dropper are suitable for essential oils. However, prolonged contact of pure essential oils with the silicone bulb may gradually soften it, so store the bottle upright and inspect the bulb each time you change the filling. For diluted blends – for example a facial oil containing a few percent of essential oils – the set can be used without restriction.
How much content actually fits in a 30 ml dropper bottle?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 30 ml, not to the brim. The space above it is a reserve for the dropper tube, which when inserted pushes the contents upward, and for the expansion of the fill in heat. When filling, do not count on the total volume to the brim.
Can the dropper bottle be reused?
Yes, both the bottle and the dropper can be reused. Before refilling, wash both parts, sanitise with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Glass cleans without restriction; the silicone bulb of the dropper wears out over time, so if it is soft, sticky or discoloured, replace the dropper and keep the bottle.
Is the bottle and dropper set suitable for food use?
No, the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics. The glass bottle alone holds a food-contact certification; the dropper does not, so the assembled set is not recommended for household oils, syrups or herbal extracts. For cosmetic preparations, suitability is declared for both the bottle and the dropper; a declaration of conformity accompanies each component.
What closure fits this bottle if I do not want the dropper?
The bottle takes closures with the same neck type, stated in the specifications. Both individual closures and ready-made bottle-with-closure combinations are available. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation, particularly for sprayers and thick oils.
