Product description
The matte amber 30 ml medicine bottle with a glossy black dropper stores and dispenses liquid preparations that are applied drop by drop. Amber glass limits the passage of light, so light-sensitive contents are better protected than in a clear bottle. With the dropper you take exactly as much as you need, and you do not touch the rest of the contents with your fingers. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended specifically for them.
What it is suitable for
- Facial serums – water-based and oil-based serums with active ingredients, dispensed in a few drops.
- Facial oils and beard oils – blends of vegetable oils, where dark glass slows down yellowing and loss of fragrance caused by light.
- Essential oil blends – concentrates for diffusers, fragrance blends and oil compositions, where dosing is counted in drops.
- Tinctures and alcohol extracts – the glass of both the bottle and the dropper tube does not react with contents that have a higher alcohol content.
- Test batches – samples of new formulations that you want to observe in dark packaging before preparing them in a larger quantity.
How to use the set
The bottle has an 18/410 neck finish. The dropper screws directly onto it and also closes the bottle. To dispense, squeeze the bulb, immerse the tube in the contents, release, and let the liquid out drop by drop. The dropper tube is made of glass, so it does not discolour or soften with oils and essential oils. The bulb and cap combine silicone, plastic and aluminium. For blends with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing on a single piece whether the bulb changes its elasticity over time.
The bottle is filled up to the nominal volume of 30 ml. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two values is a reserve for the dropper tube, which displaces part of the volume once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the dropper is fitted.
Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and let them dry completely. Residual water in a dark bottle cannot be seen and will cause cloudiness in an anhydrous oil or serum.
Good to know
You cannot see the level of the contents through the matte amber glass. It is therefore worth weighing the dose or filling with a measuring cup instead of estimating by eye.
Hot contents do not belong in the bottle. Let oil blends and serums cool down after heating. A sudden change in temperature is not good for glass, and warm contents have a larger volume than cooled ones.
After thorough washing and disinfection, the bottle can be reused. For the dropper this applies with a reservation: the bulb loses elasticity over time, and fragrance blends leave an odour in it that would transfer to new contents. The bottle can also be combined with other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and the behaviour with the specific formulation. The bottle itself is recycled as glass; the dropper combines several materials, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
The set is not intended for contact with food. Neither the bottle nor the dropper has a food-contact certificate; the set is declared exclusively for cosmetic products.
