The glass medicine bottle with dosing closure is a professional packaging suitable for precise and hygienic dispensing of various liquid preparations. Thanks to its high-quality design, it is ideal for filling cosmetic formulations, medicinal solutions or concentrated blends, where cleanliness, stability and controlled use of the contents are important.
Amber glass naturally helps protect sensitive formulations from light and extends their usability. The glossy dispenser gives the packaging an elegant appearance and at the same time allows comfortable and repeatedly precise application of the product directly from the bottle without the need to handle the contents.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). For new or non-standard formulations, it is advisable to first fill a smaller trial batch and verify the behaviour of the packaging under real conditions of use and storage.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When planning formulations and dosing, we recommend using the data on neck type, volume and compatibility with specific closures given in the product’s technical documentation.
Amber glass is commonly used for packaging sensitive cosmetic and functional preparations because it helps limit the effects of light on the contents. Before final implementation for more demanding formulations, however, we always recommend performing your own stability test – first fill a smaller trial amount and monitor the appearance, scent and consistency of the product during storage.
The glass medicine bottle and the dispenser can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill them.
We recommend first mechanically rinsing the bottle with a residual medium (for example a neutral oil or a suitable solvent used in your formulation), then washing it with warm water and a mild cleaning agent and rinsing well. After washing, the packaging needs to be disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, and allowed to dry naturally. For the dispenser, we recommend pumping the disinfectant solution through the mechanism several times so that the internal part is also flushed.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material type specified in the parameter table for the product. The glass part can generally be placed, after removing any product residues and the closure, into the container designated for glass. Separate the dispenser and any plastic parts according to the type of plastic, in line with local recycling rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the packaging to minimise product residues in the collection container.
