Clear Glass Bottle, Black Tamper Evident Safety Cap & Dropper 100 ml

The glass bottle with inner dropper and black safety cap is used for dispensing liquid cosmetic products drop by drop. The set includes a clear glass pharmaceutical bottle, 100 ml, a short plastic inner dropper fitted into the neck, and a black smooth cap with an 18/410 neck finish. It is suitable for facial and hair oils, serums, tinctures, blends of essential oils in a carrier oil, and other products that are measured out in drops or in small amounts.

Clear glass shows the colour and purity of the contents, which you will appreciate with oils and coloured tinctures. The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the inner dropper and the cap do not have it, so the set is intended for cosmetic use.

How the set works

• Inner dropper – a short plastic insert pressed into the neck of the bottle. When the bottle is tilted, it releases the contents drop by drop, so you can dispense without a measuring cup and without spilling. A larger amount cannot accidentally pour out of the bottle.
• Safety cap – a black smooth screw closure that is screwed onto the neck over the fitted inner dropper and closes the bottle.
• Glass pharmaceutical bottle – a clear bottle with a nominal volume of 100 ml. Glass does not react with oils, alcohol or essential oils and does not change the scent of the contents.

What the set is suitable for

It is most often filled with facial and hair oils, blends of essential oils diluted in a carrier oil, herbal tinctures and alcohol extracts. It also works well for oil serums, drop concentrates of active ingredients, or samples that are added drop by drop to other products.

Water-based serums and toners with low viscosity also pass through the inner dropper, but they flow faster than oils. With thick serums with a gel consistency, drops form slowly and the inner dropper is less convenient.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The total brimful volume, which you can find in the parameters, is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference between them forms a reserve for the inner dropper and for any expansion of the contents. For this reason, recipe calculations and filling are based on the nominal volume.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based product shortens its shelf life and promotes the growth of microorganisms. Disinfect the inner dropper and the cap in the same way, rinse them thoroughly and leave them to dry so that no alcohol remains in the thread.

The inner dropper is made of PP plastic. For contents with a high proportion of undiluted essential oils or solvents, check its behaviour with your specific formulation beforehand. The glass part is resistant to such contents.

You can reuse the glass bottle after washing it. The inner dropper can also be cleaned when you change the contents, but if the previous contents had a strong scent, it is usually simpler to replace it with a new one.
