Clear Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold White Spray, 100 ml

A complete bottle and closure set for facial mists, tonics and fragrance waters: a clear glass vial-shaped bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a glossy white-gold sprayer. The set is intended for thin liquid preparations applied by spraying onto skin, hair or fabric – hydrolats, tonics, hair sprays and alcohol-based fragrance waters.

Clear glass shows the contents and their colour, making it particularly suitable for clear or lightly tinted liquids. Glass does not react with the contents, does not absorb scents and can be thoroughly cleaned and reused. The sprayer creates a fine mist that spreads over a larger area. The set is therefore suitable for products where a small amount is dispensed evenly, not by dripping or pouring.

What the set is suitable for

The sprayer works reliably only with thin, watery liquids. Suitable ones include in particular:

• Facial and body mists – hydrolats, refreshing tonics with glycerin or active ingredients, mists with solubilised oil.
• Hair sprays – light conditioning sprays, detangling sprays, salt water for texture.
• Fragrance waters and body sprays – compositions based on ethanol, perfumed waters, fabric fresheners and home fragrances.
• Cleaning solutions in smaller packaging for travel or a cosmetics bag.

The sprayer is not suitable for thick serums, pure oils, cream emulsions or gel products – the nozzle will clog or fail to produce a mist. For these, the same bottle with a dropper or pump is more appropriate.

Filling and volume

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for during standard filling and which is stated on the label. Total volume to the brim is larger – it is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is the headspace taken up by the sprayer's dip tube and which allows the contents to expand slightly with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, liquid leaks when the sprayer is screwed on and the dip tube cannot be inserted comfortably.

After screwing on the sprayer, press it several times without dispensing to fill the dip tube and mechanism with liquid – only then will it start producing an even mist. Exact dimensions of the bottle and the sprayer dose can be found in the product specifications.

Good to know

• Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow it to dry completely. Flush the sprayer with clean water or alcohol and allow it to drip dry.
• Alcohol and essential oil components – glass tolerates them without restriction. The sprayer is made from polypropylene with an aluminium element and handles standard cosmetic concentrations of alcohol. With a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, check the seal integrity and nozzle behaviour with the specific formulation before a larger batch.
• Food contact – the food contact certificate applies to the glass bottle individually. The complete set with the sprayer is intended for cosmetics and domestic non-food use.
• Reuse – glass can be used many times. After each emptying, rinse the sprayer and flush it through so that residues of the preparation do not clog the nozzle.
• Label – the smooth cylindrical wall labels well. A transparent label or direct printing on the glass works well on clear glass.
• Heat and impacts – do not fill the glass with hot liquid and protect it from falling; when transporting multiple pieces, separate them.
• Recycling – the bottle goes in glass recycling, the sprayer is a composite material (plastic and aluminium); separate it from the bottle before recycling.
