The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. The glass packaging is generally also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils, since glass has good chemical resistance. However, with a high proportion of alcohol or aromatic components we recommend carrying out a trial filling to verify the stability of the product, the functionality of the sprayer and the reliability of the sealing. A short storage test will help you confirm that the chosen combination of packaging and formula is optimal for your product.

Before repeated use, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing the residues of the original product with a suitable cleaning solution and warm water. Then it is important to disinfect the inner surface of the bottle and the components of the sprayer – it is practical to use alcohol-based disinfectants such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to drain thoroughly and dry on a clean surface to prevent the dilution of the new fill with residual water.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material designation given in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle can, after removal of any remaining contents and according to local sorting rules, be placed in the appropriate glass container. The plastic and metal parts of the sprayer should be separated according to how they are marked and sorted into the corresponding collection bins. By following the recommended recycling procedures, you help to reduce the amount of waste and support the reuse of raw materials.
