The glass roll-on bottle is a practical packaging solution designed for precise and hygienic application of liquid and semi-liquid preparations directly to the skin. Thanks to the roll-on system, it is suitable for products that require controlled application without the fingers coming into contact with the contents, which helps reduce the risk of contamination and increases the stability of formulations during storage and use.
This type of packaging is ideal for filling preparations that contain volatile or more sensitive components, where minimizing contact with air and ensuring accurate dosing is important. The glass material is chemically stable and suitable for a wide range of cosmetic formulations, including products containing oils, alcohols or active ingredients that require high-quality, inert packaging.
Such bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters on the products in the online shop. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are followed. Before each refilling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the roll-on applicator and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the stability of your formulations.
The roll-on bottle is ideal for products that are applied locally and in small amounts: perfume roll-ons, natural deodorants, oil blends with essential oils, treatment roll-on serums for problem areas of the skin, or blends designed for application to pulse points. It is particularly suitable when you want to achieve precise application without the need to use your fingers or additional applicators.
Before reuse, we recommend dismantling the bottle and the roll-on insert (if the design allows), rinsing them mechanically with a suitable cleansing agent and warm water, thoroughly rinsing and allowing them to dry completely. Afterwards, the inner surfaces and the ball must be disinfected with alcohol, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging is dry is it ready to be refilled.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information provided in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in glass collection after any product residues have been removed. The plastic or metal parts of the closure and the roll-on mechanism should be separated and placed in the appropriate collection containers according to the material, or handled according to the recommendations in the parameter table on the product page at Handymade.sk.
To make selection easier, you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter it is possible to combine several criteria at once – for example neck type, size, colour or packaging material. This allows you to quickly display only those bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pots that best meet the requirements of your specific product.
