With every refilling it is important to follow hygiene principles – the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete hygienic preparation of the packaging is it suitable to proceed to its further use.

First rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and a mild detergent, depending on the nature of the previous contents. Then let the glass part dry thoroughly, ideally at room temperature upside down. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass part of the bottle is usually separated from the closure with dropper. The glass is usually placed in the container intended for glass, while the closure, pipette or rubber part are sorted according to the material specified in the product parameters (most often plastic or a mixture of materials that belongs in the appropriate container for plastic waste or in mixed waste if recycling is not possible).
