Yes, the bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging, rinsing the glass part and allowing it to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the bottle and the spray mechanism using alcohol, for example with products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Refill the bottle only after the alcohol has completely evaporated.

This packaging is most suitable for liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity that need to be dosed in the form of a fine spray. These are mainly facial and body waters, refreshers, hair sprays, aromatherapeutic and interior sprays or disinfectant solutions. Thick emulsions, gels or oils with very high viscosity may impair the functionality of the spray pump, therefore for such formulations a dosing test is necessary.

We recommend rinsing the glass part of the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Then disinfect the glass with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or vegetable ethanol 96 %. It is advisable to rinse the spray pump with lukewarm water, possibly briefly spray through a small amount of alcohol and let it air-dry. When changing the type of product (for example from products with essential oils to aqueous solutions), more thorough cleaning and a functionality test are always required.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. Place the glass bottle in the container designated for glass after removing any product residues. The spray pump and plastic parts must be separated from the glass and placed into the appropriate separated waste stream according to the material composition given in the parameter table for the product in the Handymade e-shop. In case of any doubt, follow the local waste segregation rules in your municipality or city.

The glass packaging is generally suitable also for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils. However, it is always necessary to test the compatibility of the specific formulation with the spray pump used, the sealing components and the dip tube. With a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils, we recommend preparing a smaller trial batch, filling the bottle and monitoring the behaviour of the packaging (sealing, flow, spray consistency) over several days to weeks. If no material changes or deterioration in functionality occur, you can safely use the combination.
