The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical and aesthetic packaging suitable for various liquid products where fine and even atomization is required. Thanks to its material, it ensures the stability of the filled product and helps protect sensitive formulations from external influences during storage and use.
This type of packaging is suitable for both cosmetic and technical solutions that are applied by spraying onto the skin, hair, surface or into the air. The glass material has been long proven in both the cosmetic and pharmaceutical segments, therefore the bottle is ideal for formulas where purity, stability and comfortable application using a spray pump are important.
This glass bottle with spray pump forms a functional unit in which product application is handled using a practical spray pump chosen in the product parameters. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the final product will be reliable and safe in real use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly washed, rinsed, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying do we recommend refilling the packaging in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of the final product.
The bottle with spray pump is suitable wherever you want to apply the product in a fine mist or in a thin, even layer. This applies mainly to facial and body sprays, hydrolats, hair lotions, aromatherapeutic interior sprays, solutions for skin treatment or tinctures for external use. For thicker emulsions or gel formulations, we always recommend testing in advance whether the viscosity of the product allows smooth dosing through the chosen spray pump.
We first recommend completely removing any remaining original product and rinsing the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent suitable for laboratory and cosmetic equipment. After thorough rinsing with clean water, allow the glass part to dry. Then the packaging must be disinfected – ideally using alcohol-based disinfectant solutions such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. It is advisable to flush the spray pump with a small amount of disinfectant solution by pressing the pump several times so that the solution passes through the entire mechanism. After complete drying, the packaging is ready for reuse.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the standard waste-sorting rules applicable to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be placed in a container intended for glass, while the spray mechanism belongs in mixed or plastic waste, depending on local sorting rules. Before disposal, remove any product residues from the packaging, and if necessary, quickly rinse it to reduce the risk of contaminating other waste and to facilitate subsequent processing.
The simplest way to select suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the relevant category, a filtering option appears at the top of the page, where you can sort products according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. In this way, you can quickly select only those bottles, vials, jars or pots that match your formulation and the intended method of dosing.
For each newly created formula, we recommend performing your own compatibility tests with the packaging. This involves in particular checking the sealing of the closure, the smoothness of dosing through the spray pump and the behaviour of the product in contact with the glass and plastic parts of the mechanism over time. It is advisable to prepare a test sample that you leave to stand for a certain time under normal storage conditions and then check the appearance, odour, viscosity and spray functionality. By following this procedure, you minimize the risk of complaints and gain confidence that the chosen packaging is suitable for your formulation.
