The glass bottle with a glossy black surface and a white ribbed cap with safety lock represents a professional packaging solution for modern cosmetic and technical formulations where reliability, secure closure and aesthetic appearance are important. Thanks to the high‑quality glass and practical closure, it is suitable for filling liquid and slightly viscous products that require a protected, hygienic and stable environment. The dark, opaque glass naturally helps reduce light penetration to the contents, which is advantageous for formulations that are sensitive to external influences.
These glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprays or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected in the e‑shop. Packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – focusing on sealing, dosing quality and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base).

The glass bottle is generally very suitable for formulations containing essential oils, perfume components or alcohol, because glass is one of the stable and chemically resistant materials. However, when developing your own product, we always recommend making a trial batch and verifying the behaviour of the specific formulation over time, including sealing and dosing through the selected type of cap or applicator.
The bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly washed, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution. For professional disinfection we recommend using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured – plant based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the cap to dry completely and only then refill the packaging, in order to minimise the risk of product contamination.
Repeated use for different types of formulations is possible if thorough hygiene is maintained between individual uses. The bottle and the cap must be completely emptied, mechanically cleaned, thoroughly rinsed and finally disinfected with alcohol (for example with the products IPA 99 or ethanol 96 denatured). Packaging prepared in this way can be used more safely also for another formulation, but we always recommend a small test filling to verify the functionality of the closure and the stability of the product.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend recycling it in an environmentally friendly way according to the material indicated in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle normally belongs in the container designated for glass, while the plastic or composite cap should be separated into the appropriate mixed plastics fraction according to local waste‑sorting rules. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is advisable to empty the bottle and cap of product residues and, if necessary, briefly rinse them to facilitate further processing in the recycling process.
