FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that basic hygiene principles are followed and the packaging is not mechanically damaged. Before each new filling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % denatured plant ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of your formulation.

How should I properly clean the glass bottle before filling a new product?

After emptying the previous contents, we recommend first rinsing the packaging mechanically with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Before the actual filling, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surfaces and the thread with alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol, and allow the alcohol to evaporate. Packaging prepared in this way is more suitable for filling sensitive cosmetic formulations.

How should I properly recycle this bottle if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. After rinsing, the glass part of the bottle should be placed in the appropriate glass container according to local waste-sorting rules. The metal aluminium cap can be sorted into metal collection where this is permitted by the system in your area. Always remove product residues before handing over for recycling to make material processing easier.

Can I use this bottle for different types of formulations, for example oil-based and aqueous solutions?

The glass container is generally suitable for a wide range of cosmetic and technical formulations, including oil blends, emulsions and aqueous solutions. For very specific or more aggressive ingredients, we recommend carrying out a trial filling in a smaller volume and observing the stability of the product and the behaviour of the packaging over time.
