The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed; however, we recommend reserving it for the same type of product (for example consistently oils or consistently the same watery serum). Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and disinfect it with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and of the new fill’s stability being affected by residues of the previous product.

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, thoroughly rinsing it with drinking water and then letting it dry completely. After drying, you can disinfect the inner surface with alcohol as needed (for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of plant origin). Make sure that no residues of water or cleaning agent remain in the packaging or in the thread, as these could affect the composition or stability of the filled product.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules, according to the material specified in the product parameters. In most cases, the glass bottle can, after thoroughly emptying and possibly rinsing, be placed in the container designated for glass, while the plastic closure with safety ring is usually sorted with plastics. Before recycling, always remove product residues and dispose of the packaging in accordance with the instructions of your municipality or city.
