Product description

This blue glass bottle with a volume of 30 ml and a black dropper is intended for cosmetic products that are dispensed drop by drop: face serums, oil blends, tinctures and concentrated active ingredients. The dropper is included in the set, so all you need to do is prepare the bottle, fill it and close it.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and you will find the declaration of conformity with the product. The medicine bottle shape with a narrower neck is also easy to hold when dispensing with one hand, which you will appreciate with serums and oils applied directly to the skin.

What it is suitable for

  • Face serums – both water-based and oil-based, where a few drops are dispensed per use.
  • Oil blends with essential oils – facial and hair elixirs or blends for the décolleté area.
  • Tinctures and infusions – the dropper makes it easier to measure the dose precisely into the water phase or into the finished product.
  • Samples and test batches – 30 ml is enough to try out a formulation or for a gift pack in a small volume.

Dropper with tamper-evident ring

The dropper combines glass, silicone and plastic. You dispense by squeezing the head, immersing it in the contents and squeezing again over the area where you want to apply it. The length of the dropper matches this bottle, so it reaches almost to the bottom and the contents can be used up without unnecessary residue.

The tamper-evident ring breaks the first time the dropper is unscrewed. The customer can therefore see immediately that nobody has opened the packaging before, which is an advantage over an ordinary dropper when selling finished products. After opening, the dropper remains fully functional and continues to close the bottle normally.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for with normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the dropper, which pushes part of the contents upwards once it is screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes.

Fill up to the nominal volume. If you fill the bottle up to the neck, the contents will overflow over the thread when the dropper is inserted, and the bottle will then become sticky and seal less well.

Good to know

  • Preparation before the first filling – wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water does not belong in either a water-based or an oil-based product.
  • Temperature of the contents – glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes well. Let hot blends cool down to at least lukewarm before filling, and do not put the bottle straight from a cold environment under hot water.
  • Concentrated essential oils and alcohol – glass resists them. With undiluted essential oils or a high alcohol content, we recommend testing on one bottle beforehand how the silicone and plastic parts of the dropper tolerate long-term contact.
  • Reuse – the glass bottle can be washed and used again. With the dropper, check that the head still sucks in firmly and that the glass tube is not chipped, and let it dry thoroughly after washing.
  • Other closures – if you want to close the bottle in a different way than with the supplied dropper, choose closures with the same neck type as stated in the parameters. With your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and dispensing with the specific formulation.
  • Recycling – the bottle belongs in glass recycling, while the dropper combines several materials, so separate it before disposal.

The set is intended for cosmetics. Do not use it for homemade oils, syrups or other foods.

Frequently asked questions

Is the blue glass bottle with a dropper suitable for cosmetics and for food?
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is not approved for food. The bottle and the dropper have a declaration of conformity for cosmetic use, which you will find with the product. It is suitable for serums, oil blends and tinctures intended for skin and hair. Do not fill it with homemade oils, syrups or other foods.
How much does a 30 ml bottle with a dropper hold?
The bottle is designed for 30 ml of content, which is its nominal volume. Physically, a little more fits in up to the brim, but this reserve is taken up by the inserted dropper and by the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If you fill it to the brim, the contents will overflow when the dropper is screwed in and soil the thread.
Can the glass bottle with a dropper be reused?
Yes, the glass bottle can be washed and refilled. Before refilling, disinfect it with alcohol and leave it to dry. When reusing the dropper, check it: the silicone head must still suck in firmly and the glass tube must not be chipped. The tamper-evident ring no longer serves its purpose after the first opening, but this does not affect closing.
Is the blue glass bottle with a dropper suitable for essential oils and tinctures?
Yes, for diluted essential oils, oil blends and tinctures. Glass resists both oils and alcohol. With undiluted essential oils or a high alcohol content, we recommend testing beforehand how the silicone and plastic parts of the dropper tolerate long-term contact with the contents.
What does the tamper-evident ring on the dropper mean?
The tamper-evident ring is protection against unauthorised opening. It breaks the first time the dropper is unscrewed, so it is visible at first glance that the packaging has already been opened. When selling finished serums and oils, it gives the customer assurance that they have received an unopened product. It does not affect dispensing or the seal after opening.
