Product description

Glass bottle, blue, throat spray, 30 ml is a ready-made combination of a blue glass vial and a dispenser with an extended nozzle that releases a small, precisely directed dose of liquid. It is suitable for water- and alcohol-based cosmetic preparations applied in a targeted manner and in small doses: refreshing sprays for the skin and hands, travel toners, hydrosols, hair tonics, scalp tonics, or small treatment solutions. Blue glass partially blocks light and helps protect contents that are sensitive to it. The 30 ml volume suits samples, travel packs, and formulations that are used up quickly.

How the set works

The dispenser screws directly onto the neck of the vial. Both components have the same type of thread, so the set seals without any additional inserts. The dispenser tube reaches to the bottom, draws up the liquid when the head is pressed, and the nozzle sprays it out in a thin stream. One press releases roughly 0.1 ml, which allows sparing, repeated dosing to the same spot. The first presses after filling only prime the tube and head; the full dose comes only afterwards.

The extended nozzle is an advantage where an ordinary fine-mist sprayer is not enough: on the scalp between the hair, into skin folds, or on small spots that need to be treated precisely without spraying the surroundings.

Especially suitable for

  • Water- and alcohol-based solutions – toners, hydrosols, light sprays for the skin and hands; the thin liquid passes evenly through the tube and nozzle.
  • Targeted hair tonics – scalp solutions where the preparation needs to reach the skin through the hair.
  • Samples and travel packs – the small volume lets you test a formulation before a larger fill.
  • Light-sensitive preparations – solutions with vitamins, extracts, or essential oils that the blue glass helps protect from light.

The dispenser is designed for thin liquids. Thick serums, emulsions, and most oils cannot be sprayed evenly by the pump and may clog the nozzle. For light oil-based contents, we recommend checking the dispenser's behaviour in advance.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the vial is intended for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is higher. The difference forms a reserve for the tube and the lower part of the dispenser, which take up part of the space once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. It is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will overflow when the dispenser is screwed on.

Good to know

Preparation before the first filling. Wash the vial, rinse it, and disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, then let it dry completely. Rinse the dispenser with clean water or alcohol and spray it empty a few times to remove manufacturing residues and the rinsing liquid.

The dispenser tube is supplied longer than the height of the vial so that it can be adjusted. Before the first assembly, shorten it with an angled cut so that it reaches just to the bottom but does not bend. A flat end at the bottom could seal against it and impair suction.

Material and contents. Glass is resistant to essential oils and alcohol, but it breaks when dropped and should not be exposed to sudden temperature changes. The dispenser is made of polypropylene; for solutions with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend verifying compatibility with a longer test in the finished formulation.

Intended use of the set. Both the vial and the dispenser are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not approved for contact with food, so it is not intended for food or nutritional solutions, regardless of the dispenser type's name.

Reuse and recycling. The glass vial can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. The dispenser can also be reused after rinsing, but when the formulation changes, a new one is safer. Before recycling, separate the components: glass goes with glass, the dispenser with plastics.

Frequently asked questions

Does the blue glass of the throat-spray vial protect the contents from light?
Blue glass partially blocks light, but it is not a complete barrier. It slows the breakdown of light-sensitive components such as extracts, vitamins, or essential oils, yet we still recommend storing such preparations out of direct sunlight. For samples and travel packs that are used up quickly, this protection is sufficient.
How much liquid does one press of the throat spray release?
One press releases roughly 0.1 ml of liquid in a thin, directed stream. This value applies to water- and alcohol-based solutions; with thicker contents the dose is lower or uneven. On first use, the dispenser needs to be pressed a few times until the tube and head fill up.
Can the throat-spray vial be used for oils or thick serums?
No, the dispenser is not suitable for thick serums, emulsions, and most oils. The pump and thin nozzle are designed for low-viscosity liquids; thick contents will not be drawn up evenly and will clog the nozzle. Very light oils may work to a limited extent, but the behaviour needs to be tested in advance in the specific formulation.
How many ml are filled into a vial with a nominal volume of 30 ml?
It is filled to the nominal volume of 30 ml, not to the brim. The total volume to the neck is higher, but this reserve is taken up by the tube and the lower part of the dispenser and also serves for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If overfilled, the contents will overflow when the dispenser is screwed on and soil the seal.
Is the glass throat-spray vial set suitable for food solutions?
No, the set is not approved for contact with food. Both the vial and the dispenser are declared suitable for cosmetic products, and the set is intended for that use. The term "throat spray" names the type of dispenser with an extended nozzle, not the intended contents.
